Restart a MongoDB Process

Overview

If an Ops Manager-managed MongoDB process is not currently running, you can restart it directly from the Ops Manager console.

Note

If a mongos process is not managed by Ops Manager Automation and if the process remains unreachable for 30 days, Ops Manager removes the process from the Deployment tab view. If you restart the mongos process, Ops Manager will again detect it. For more information see the is down alert.

Procedure

To restart a process:

Click Deployment, then the Processes tab, then the Topology view.

On the line listing the cluster, replica set, or process, click the ellipsis icon and select Shutdown.

Click Shutdown to confirm.

Click Review & Deploy to review your changes.

Review and approve your changes.

Ops Manager displays your proposed changes.

  1. If you are satisfied, click Confirm & Deploy.
  2. Otherwise, click Cancel and you can make additional changes.

On the line listing the cluster, replica set, or process, click the ellipsis icon and select Startup.

Click Startup to confirm.

Click Review & Deploy to review your changes.

Review and approve your changes.

Ops Manager displays your proposed changes.

  1. If you are satisfied, click Confirm & Deploy.
  2. Otherwise, click Cancel and you can make additional changes.
